A veritable trifecta.

US long-term interest rates will stay low... why?
Because of Japanese private investors. Face with a zero real rate, they are yield hunger. Until their stock market recovers, they will keep buying US treasury. So the indicator for rising long bond yield might not be the fed funds but the performance of the Japanese stock market.

At least that's what some smart people who know "stuff" say.
